China's AI adoption rate tops 80%, AI phones and PCs set to outsell non-AI ones

China's National Development and Reform Commission says it has set up over 30 national AI application pilot bases, opening more than 1,000 application scenarios. AI adoption in key industries has now exceeded 80%.

Last year, China shipped over 100 million AI-powered phones and PCs. This year, sales of these devices are expected to surpass non-AI ones for the first time. Monthly visits to AI office assistants have hit over 20 million, with daily token usage reaching hundreds of trillions.

Market data shows generative AI phones will make up 45% of global smartphone shipments by 2026, and 52% by 2027. China's industry ministry is also pushing for more AI devices like smart home gear and wearables.
