China's Generative AI Services Filing Reaches 868, 72 Newly Added in March-April

As of April 30, China has 868 generative AI services completed filing and 530 generative AI applications/functions registered. 72 new generative AI services were filed with the National Internet Information Office from March to April 2026.

For apps/functions calling filed model capabilities via API or other methods, local cyberspace offices handle registration, with 49 new ones completed in the same period.

The Regulations on Deep Synthesis Administration state providers with public opinion or social mobilization capabilities must file. By May, 17 batches of algorithm filing info are available via the filing system.
