China's national supercomputing network launches AI agent ecosystem plan
At the 2026 World AI Conference (WAIC), China's national supercomputing internet announced a six-month plan to recruit developers and researchers for building scientific computing AI agents. The goal is to create an open ecosystem based on domestic supercomputing power.
Participants get access to the country's first 100,000-card AI cluster, along with data and tools support. The platform already has over 16,000 components, including 5,000+ MCP tools and 350+ AI agents. Users can quickly build their own agents with low-code tools.
Also today, the first fully domestic 100,000-card AI cluster, "Shuguang 8000 (Dengfeng)" by Sugon, was showcased at WAIC and named a top exhibit. It supports full-precision computing for scientific tasks, AI training, inference, and industrial simulation.
