China's weather bureau launches 'Mazu' AI toolbox for satellite data

China's weather bureau released the 'Mazu' Fengyun Satellite AI Box at the 2026 WAIC weather conference. This tool combines hardware and software to receive satellite data, run AI analysis, and support weather applications in one package. It works with the Fengyun satellite system and can be set up quickly in different countries. The box helps places with limited internet or computing power turn satellite data into useful weather services.
