China speeds up AI standards for smart agents and more
China's market regulator is working with other departments to speed up the creation of national standards for cutting-edge AI tech like smart agents, embodied AI, and world models. The goal is to keep the AI standards system up to date.\n\nRight now, they're also working on standards for things like computing infrastructure, high-quality data sets, simulation testing platforms, and more. Plus, they'll push out key standards for evaluating how mature AI companies are and which AI applications are most valuable.\n\nThey've already released a set of national standards for smart agent connectivity, with 7 parts, to fix problems like inconsistent communication interfaces, missing identity management, and messy coordination rules. This shifts standards from just keeping up with the industry to actively guiding innovation.
