Cloudflare launches Kitesurf, a cloud browser built for AI agents
Cloudflare launched Kitesurf on August 6, a cloud browser built specifically for AI agents. Unlike traditional browsers, Kitesurf focuses on managing context windows, performance, and scalability rather than tabs or UI visuals, and includes security features to guard against prompt injection attacks. Running on Cloudflare's Workers platform, developers can control it via code to browse websites, fill out forms, and interact with headless browser instances. Compared to Chromium, Kitesurf uses fewer computing resources, significantly lowering operating costs and making AI agents more efficient online. Currently in beta, the official version is expected later.
