Consumer Complaints Rise Over AI Customer Service
China's consumer association reports a rise in complaints about AI customer service, with some platforms making it hard to reach human agents. A Beijing TV test found it took nearly six minutes to get through to a human on a short-video platform's hotline. Some AI systems use loops and menus to block users, and sometimes make promises that companies later deny. The association says businesses must provide easy access to human support, and warns consumers to double-check important info through official channels.
