CuspAI launches AI Materials Foundry with global tech giants to speed up new material discovery
UK-based AI startup CuspAI has launched the 'AI Materials Foundry' initiative, using artificial intelligence to speed up the discovery and creation of new materials. The platform is coordinated by a single AI agent and brings together a global network of materials technology capabilities, focusing on industries like semiconductors, clean energy, and advanced manufacturing, which are hitting material bottlenecks that slow down tech progress.
With CuspAI's MIRA platform as the hub, the AI Materials Foundry has gathered over 20 major companies including 3M, AMD, Applied Materials, Samsung, Meta, NVIDIA, and Hyundai Motor, along with several academic partners. CuspAI says this ecosystem will greatly cut down the time needed to develop new materials, helping to push forward tech breakthroughs in these fields.
