DeepSeek Flash Models Cut Prices by Up to 60%

DeepSeek's open platform announced new pricing for its Flash models starting September 10, 2026, at noon Beijing time. The lineup includes deepseek-v4-flash and deepseek-v4-flash-vision-exp, with peak-hour rates double those of off-peak periods.

For off-peak hours, the cached input price drops from 0.05 yuan to 0.02 yuan per million tokens, a 60% cut. Uncached input falls from 1.5 to 1 yuan, down 33.33%, and output from 4.5 to 4 yuan, an 11.11% reduction. Peak-hour prices see the same percentage cuts.

This move lowers costs for developers, especially those with high call volumes. The adjusted pricing makes the Flash series more cost-effective, likely attracting more small and medium-sized businesses and individual developers.
