DeepSeek forms new Product Department led by Cui Tianyi
DeepSeek has recently restructured its teams. The Agent Harness team and the Web, App, and Platform teams are now merged into one Product Department. This new department handles all products, design, and development work at the company.
Cui Tianyi confirmed the news and leads the new department. He studied computer science at Zhejiang University and won 6 gold medals at ACM regional contests. He worked at the trading firm JaneStreet for nine years before joining DeepSeek in March.
DeepSeek Harness, or dsh, is an open-source agent runtime framework built with TypeScript under the MIT license. Its core idea is "Everything is a Plugin". The desktop preview version is already live on DeepSeek's official website.
This reorganization brings agent development and product work under one roof, which may speed up DeepSeek's product updates.
