DeepSeek Harness Adds Claude Code Mods Compatibility Layer

DeepSeek Harness team member Cui Tianyi has confirmed that he built the Claude Code Mods compatibility layer in version v0.2.1-alpha.1. The feature is still experimental and in alpha.

He said the goal is to test whether Claude Code Mods' extension features are a subset of DeepSeek Harness's everything-is-a-plugin design. Not all Claude Code Mods run smoothly yet, but that may change in the future. He stressed that open source and open extensibility are DeepSeek's original vision, not a copy of others.

The new desktop app is available for macOS and Windows. A new plugin page lets users install plugins without the command line. About 60% of users use third-party plugins, and the team will keep supporting the plugin ecosystem and build an official plugin marketplace.
