DeepSeek's new image recognition can't spot its own founder

DeepSeek launched its image recognition feature today on its app and website. According to reports, the tool failed to identify the company's founder, Liang Wenfeng, in tests, mistaking him for other public figures like Lei Jun.

In contrast, it correctly recognized multiple photos of Lei Jun. Experts suggest this is because Liang keeps a low profile, with few public photos available, making it hard for the AI to build a stable recognition pattern. It also shows DeepSeek didn't give its boss special treatment.
