DeepSeek V4.1 Flash Coming, Outperforms V4 Pro

DeepSeek's open platform announced plans to release the V4.1 Flash model around September 10, 2026. Tests show it beats V4 Pro in performance, cost, and speed. The company says that after V4.1 Flash launches and before V4.1 Pro arrives, all V4 Pro requests will automatically switch to V4.1 Flash at its new pricing.

Starting September 10 at 12:00 Beijing time, Flash pricing will change: during off-peak hours, cached input costs 0.02 yuan per million tokens, uncached input 1 yuan, and output 4 yuan; peak hours double these prices. V4.1 Flash uses a new model architecture with native multimodal support, offering better capabilities, faster speed, and lower cost.
