DeepSeek V4 Flash API Launches with Big Performance and Value Gains

DeepSeek announced the public beta of its V4 Flash API on July 31. The model scored 50 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, beating its previous version by 10 points and the V4 Pro by 6. It's just 1 point behind OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Luna. In Arena.ai's Frontend Code Arena, DeepSeek V4 Flash High ranked 7th overall and 3rd in open models, with a 154-point jump over the preview version.
