DeepSeek V4 Pro launches with new peak-valley API pricing

DeepSeek announced on August 13 that the V4-Pro official version is now live on the app, web, and API. Users can choose "Expert Mode" to access the new model. The official version boosts Agent capabilities with significant performance gains in production. The API natively supports OpenAI's Responses API format and is adapted for Codex, allowing quick setup via a one-click script. V4-Pro and V4-Flash thinking modes now offer three intensity levels: low, high, and max, so users can pick based on task complexity. Additionally, API pricing is updated with a peak-valley mechanism, where off-peak prices are half of peak rates. The new pricing takes effect at 0:00 Beijing time on August 17, 2026.
