Deezer launches free tool to detect AI music in Apple Music and Spotify playlists

French music streaming platform Deezer has launched a free tool that scans playlists from Apple Music, Spotify, and other third-party platforms to detect AI-generated music. As one of the first major streaming services to label AI music, Deezer previously pitched its AI detection tech to other platforms but got little response.

Deezer CEO Alexis Lanternier said that since no other platform followed suit, they decided to make the detection tool available to everyone. Users simply visit Deezer's detection website, select their streaming service, grant access, and quickly get an analysis of AI music in their playlists.
