Doubao phone assistant limits automation for financial apps
Doubao's phone assistant has updated its list of apps it refuses to control, actively limiting operations on financial apps. The scope covers banks, trust services, payments, internet finance, and credit services.
The consumer version of the phone assistant launched on September 14, along with a Screen Automation Execution Protocol. It builds a transparent system for how AI agents work across apps. On October 14, the 30-day notice period ended, and access for third-party apps was gradually opened. The official refusal list includes ICBC, China Merchants Bank, and Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank.
Doubao said that for apps marked as refused, its AI agent will not operate on them. Developers can still declare refusal at any time, and the company will respond within 3 working days.
