Doubao shuts down app creation feature, no new apps allowed

ByteDance's AI assistant Doubao has fully removed its 'agent' feature, with the 'app creation' tool shutting down on May 31. Users can still view, copy, and share previously created apps, but can no longer create or update them; coding features remain. The tool let non-tech users build small apps or games by describing needs, no coding required. This move suggests Doubao is trimming non-core features to focus on its main AI chat service.
