Doubao to open screen automation permissions for third-party apps
Doubao phone assistant's Screen Automation Execution Protocol (SAEP) has finished its 30-day public notice period. The platform will gradually open screen automation permissions to third-party apps, letting the AI agent tap and type on phones for users.
Even after the notice period, developers can still declare refusal at any time, and Doubao will turn off related operations promptly. Apps that clearly said no will not be operated by the agent, and the platform has published the latest list of refusing apps.
The protocol keeps the choice in developers' hands, balancing automation features with respect for apps. Permissions will be opened step by step based on each app's decision.
