Experts say AI still can't replace human taste in design
Several tech experts say AI still can't create good designs on its own. Andrew Ambrosino, who leads OpenAI's Codex project, says design is harder to judge than code. Training AI to tell good design from bad is much more work than checking if code runs.
Dylan Field, CEO of design company Figma, says AI models learn from patterns in data, so their designs often look just average. The good news is creative jobs won't disappear soon. But workers need to learn new skills like writing prompts.
Grammy-nominated musician Bas said at Harvard that guiding AI to make things people love still needs human taste. Ambrosino agrees that for now, the human brain is still special.
