Firebird launches CIS's largest AI factory in Armenia
Firebird, an AI cloud platform targeting emerging markets, announced on August 8 that its AI factory in Hrazdan, Armenia, is now operational. It's the largest AI factory in the CIS region, built in just over half a year. The facility uses NVIDIA AI GPUs, powered by Dell servers, Schneider Electric power infrastructure, and Vertiv cooling systems. Initial customers include Perplexity AI. Firebird plans to deploy 300MW of AI infrastructure capacity in Armenia by the end of 2027, which means over 70,000 Rubin and Blackwell GPUs. The company also secured 125MW capacity in Kazakhstan, with a global goal of building 2GW of computing power in the next two years. CoreWeave invested in Firebird earlier this year, and NVIDIA also plans to invest.
