Foxconn wins first SpaceX AI server deal, breaking Dell and Supermicro's grip
Foxconn has landed its first AI server deal with SpaceX, breaking the long-standing dominance of Dell and Supermicro in this field. The order comes as SpaceX plans to build over 13,000 server racks powered by Nvidia's GB300 chips. Each rack costs around $4 million, bringing the total project value to $52 billion. By May 2026, SpaceX's Colossus 1 data center already had over 220,000 Nvidia GPUs, while Colossus 2 has more than 550,000 GPUs. Foxconn will start delivering the servers in the fourth quarter of this year. This deal shows the growing global demand for AI computing power.
