France's Mistral AI Launches Forge System to Help Enterprises Build Custom AI Models

French AI startup Mistral AI recently launched the Forge system to help enterprises build custom AI models that internalize their domain knowledge. The system enables AI to align closely with real-world application scenarios, giving enterprises control over models and strategic autonomy.

Enterprises can integrate internal documents, code bases, structured data, and other materials into models via pre-training, post-training optimization, and reinforcement learning to develop specialized models reflecting their unique attributes. Forge supports dense and MoE architectures, handles multimodal data, uses an agent-first design, and allows continuous improvement of models via reinforcement learning after launch.
