Google and Unity launch AI game platform Playground
Game development has long required professional coding skills, keeping most people out. Google has partnered with Unity to launch Playground, an experimental AI game platform. Users just type a short prompt and AI creates the game, making game-making much easier. Playground uses a chat-style interface. Users describe what they want to build, and AI creates a first draft. Then they can tweak the physics, change game rules, or make custom characters. It runs in a browser and works on computers and phones. Finished games can be shared with friends and family, or posted to the Explore page for the community. Later, Playground will work with Unity Spark, bringing stronger editing and 3D development tools, so a simple text prompt can grow into a full advanced game experience over time.
