Google brings Gemini to Android Go phones

Google is bringing a lighter version of its Gemini AI assistant to Android Go phones. Called Gemini Go, it works on devices with at least 2GB of RAM and replaces the old Google Assistant Go. You can start it by holding the Home or power button.

Gemini Go can make calls, send texts, search maps, set alarms, and handle documents or photos. It's rolling out now, and users should see it in the next few days.
