Google Controls Nearly 1/4 of Global AI Computing Power by Q4 2025, Self-developed TPU Chips Are Core Advantage

AI computing power is a key area of global tech competition. According to Epoch AI's statistics, by Q4 2025, Google has become the world's largest single holder of AI computing power, controlling about a quarter of the global cumulative AI computing power.

Unlike other hyperscale cloud service providers, Google's computing power mainly comes from self-developed TPU chips instead of NVIDIA GPUs. Microsoft and Meta are also developing their own AI chips, but they are not included in the tracking scope currently, and their impact on the overall result is negligible.
