Google renames NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook, adds code execution

Google has renamed its AI note assistant NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook to unify its AI product branding. The product remains standalone but will play a bigger role in Google's ecosystem, including the Gemini app and Google Search.

Gemini Notebook users will soon get a key update: secure cloud computing support, enabling native code writing and execution for complex data analysis. This update is now available for Google AI Ultra users and some Workspace enterprise customers.

In the coming weeks, the update will roll out to all web Pro users, supporting new output formats and deeper analysis. This move aims to boost Gemini Notebook's usefulness in professional settings.
