Google Translate Turns 20: 'Thank You' Is Most Common Phrase, New Pronunciation Practice Feature Added
Google Translate recently marked its 20th anniversary. It now supports nearly 250 languages and over 60,000 language pairs, covering about 95% of the global population.
The official team also launched a pronunciation practice feature. Android users can refine their language expression with this tool—AI analyzes speech and provides instant feedback to help users master correct pronunciation before real conversations. The feature is now available in the US and India, supporting English, Spanish, and Hindi.
Notably, the most common phrase on Google Translate isn't business jargon or technical queries, but the simple 'Thank you'—a trend seen in many months over the past 20 years.
