Grok V9-Medium training is done, big upgrade for coding

Musk announced that the Grok base model V9-Medium (1.5 trillion parameters) has finished training with good results. It was trained with extra Cursor data and will get more soon.

Fine-tuning is ongoing, reinforcement learning starts in a few days, and public release is expected in 2-3 weeks. Compared to the current V8-Small (0.5T parameters), V9-Medium is a big upgrade, especially for tough coding tasks.

SpaceX bought xAI in February and appointed new leaders. Earlier this month, Musk said xAI is now SpaceXAI, SpaceX's AI product.
