Hideo Kojima: AI is better as a 'cleaner', not an artist
Game creator Hideo Kojima recently shared his thoughts on AI in an interview with The Washington Post. He said AI is best used as a 'cleaner' to make things more efficient, but humans should stay in charge of real art creation.
Earlier, Prada used AI to create a digital version of Kojima for an exhibition, which upset some fans. Kojima said 'Art is life' and that he doesn't think he'll see AI making art in his lifetime — and he's not interested.
Kojima has called AI a 'friend' and talked about creating the future with it, but he's clear that AI shouldn't replace creativity. Valve's Gabe Newell mentioned that Kojima was already excited about AI back in 2018, and also wanted to go to space.
