Honor CEO: AI will become a companion, not just a tool

At the 2026 World AI Conference in Shanghai, Honor CEO Li Jian said AI will evolve from a tool into a companion-like intelligent being. He explained that Honor's MagicOS has been upgraded to the first companion-type, multimodal operating system in the industry, making AI a real and accessible companion. Honor's first robot phone, Robot Phone, is now available for pre-order. It features the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, a 1.5K flat screen, and a tiny 4DoF titanium mechanical gimbal with a 200MP camera.
