Honor CEO Li Jian: AI is meant to enhance humans, not replace them
At the 2026 World AI Conference, Honor CEO Li Jian said AI's main goal is to boost human abilities, not replace people. He described a future where one person leads a team of smart devices, turning cloud and edge intelligence into personal power. The devices can instantly respond to human needs. Li stressed that humans must keep control of their intentions. AI should lower tech barriers, helping users express ideas freely without making decisions for them. He noted AI itself is neutral, its impact depends on human rules. Honor has launched the 'Alpha Strategy,' planning to invest $10 billion over five years to build an AI device ecosystem. The company also introduced the Robot Phone concept, aiming to evolve AI from a tool to a life partner. Li believes AI will boost human creativity and judgment.
