Huawei AI glasses team up with Xiaoyi to help visually impaired users explore the world

At HDC 2026, Huawei announced its AI glasses will deeply integrate with the 'Xiaoyi See the World' feature to help visually impaired users navigate their surroundings. The feature is set to launch in August.

'Xiaoyi See the World' is a visual assistant capability of Huawei's smart assistant. Users can interact with Xiaoyi via voice or video in real time. Xiaoyi can identify video content and offer tips on outfits, sightseeing spots, and general knowledge.

By combining the glasses' wearable camera with Xiaoyi's AI vision, visually impaired users can ask questions while walking. The feature uses system data like weather and location to act like a friendly companion exploring the world together.
