Huawei and Xiaomi get China's first L3 AI device certification

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments released a new national standard in May, dividing AI device intelligence into four levels from L1 to L4. Huawei announced that its HUAWEI Pura X Max, MateBook Pro, and Smart Screen S7 Pro got the first L3 certification for phones, computers, and TVs. Xiaomi also said it received the first batch of L3 certificates, which is currently the highest clearly defined level. L3 means devices can handle complex tasks on their own in certain scenarios, but still need user supervision. This marks a key step in standardizing AI terminals in China.
