Huawei Cloud CEO: Focused on Productivity, Not Just Token Usage

Huawei Cloud CEO Zhou Yuefeng said that while many cloud providers focus on MaaS revenue and token usage, Huawei Cloud cares more about the productivity gains from tokens. He noted that with limited domestic computing power, Huawei Cloud won't compare scale with others, aiming instead to build a second computing plane.

Huawei Cloud has open-sourced its full-size Pangu model and will soon open-source multimodal models. Its MaaS Tokens service now supports over 160 mainstream models. Zhou also revealed plans to launch more industry agents this year, including AgentArts and DataArts, with a series of "OpenClaw" agents for office, coding, and marketing expected in the second half of the year.
