Huawei Cloud helps MiniMax open-source its multimodal model M3

Huawei Cloud and MiniMax have deepened their partnership. Using Huawei's Ascend AI chips, they provide computing power for MiniMax's new flagship model M3, which is now open-source. The M3 model excels in coding and agent tasks, using a new attention architecture that handles super-long contexts up to 1M tokens. It can process images and videos, and even control a computer desktop. In coding tests, M3 beats GPT-5.5 and Gemini 3.1 Pro, close to Opus 4.7. In SVG generation and multimodal tests, it also outperforms Gemini 3.1 Pro and scores highest in the Claw-Eval agent benchmark.
