Huawei leads creation of first ETSI security standard for AI computing platforms
The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) has released a new technical standard led by Huawei—ETSI TS 104 033—the first ETSI standard focused on security requirements for AI computing platforms. The project started in November 2023 at an ETSI SAI meeting, with support from international partners like British Telecom, Qualcomm, Queen's University Belfast, Bosch, and Germany's BSI.
This standard addresses security risks that AI computing platforms may face and suggests measures to reduce them. Huawei's Ascend security solution can protect AI platforms at different levels, and these security requirements are built into the entire Ascend product line—from data-center-level Atlas SuperPoD super nodes to edge-side reasoning devices.
