Huawei MateBook Pro gets China's official L3 AI smart device rating

Huawei MateBook Pro has become the first device to get China's official L3 AI smart device rating. The standard was released in May by several Chinese government departments, ranking device intelligence from L1 to L4. L3 means assistant-level, and L4 will be defined later. The MateBook Pro is the first Huawei PC with native HarmonyOS 5, launched in June 2025. It has a smart button for XiaoYi, uses Huawei Pangu and DeepSeek AI models, and works with the HarmonyOS ecosystem for office and study tasks. Hardware includes a 14.2-inch 3.1K OLED screen, weighs about 970 grams, and uses Huawei's cooling system for 40W performance.
