iFlytek's Spark Multimodal AI Model Scores 148 on Gaokao Math

At the 2026 Yangtze River Delta Robotics and Automation Expo, iFlytek launched the Spark Multimodal AI Model X2-VL. According to iFlytek VP Sun Dongping, it's the only major AI model trained entirely on domestic computing power, using a unique MoE architecture. The model was trained on Wuxi's local "Taihu Star Leap" platform, and iFlytek has set up a subsidiary in Wuxi for daily operations.

Test results show the model achieved nearly 95% accuracy on high school mixed text-image questions. In a media test, it scored 148 on the 2026 Gaokao math exam, beating other models tested.
