India's Sarvam AI to Build Trillion-Parameter AI Model

Sarvam AI, an Indian AI company, announced at its first Sarvam Epoch conference that it will develop a trillion-parameter AI model. The company says its existing 105B model performs well in many areas, and its voice models offer great value. Sarvam AI believes India should produce its own tokens to avoid 'double paying' foreign AI firms with money and data. The new model is expected to be ready within six months and compete with leading models in coding, cybersecurity, and scientific research. Sarvam AI also plans to open a US office to attract Indian AI talent back, and launched Bulbul V4 text-to-speech and Saaras V4 multi-speaker speech recognition models.
