Indian AI Startup Sarvam Secures New Funding Round Valued at $1.5B, With Nvidia and Others Participating
Indian AI startup Sarvam is undergoing a new funding round, valued at $1.5 to $1.55 billion, planning to raise $300 to $350 million. Sources indicate that Bessemer Venture Partners will lead the round, with Nvidia, Amazon, and Prosperity7 Ventures also participating. The round could be completed as early as next week.
The company launched two MoE architecture large language models, Sarvam 30B and 105B, in February this year and open-sourced them in early March. Its flagship model 105B-A9B outperformed competitors like Google Gemini 2.5 Flash in localized Indian language benchmark tests.
