Infineon partners with VinRobotics to develop humanoid robots
Infineon has signed a memorandum of understanding with Vietnamese robotics company VinRobotics to jointly develop humanoid robots. The two companies will set up a joint R&D center in Hanoi. VinRobotics, founded by Vingroup, one of Vietnam's largest private enterprises, has strengths in regional markets and industrialization.
The partnership will focus on microcontrollers, power systems, sensors, and connectivity technologies. Infineon noted that the semiconductor material cost for a humanoid robot is around $500, and its solutions can help customers build robots that can "sense and think."
