Intel Xeon 6 Processor Selected as Head Node CPU for NVIDIA DGX Rubin NVL8 System
Intel and NVIDIA continue their collaboration, with the Xeon 6 processor chosen as the head node CPU for NVIDIA's DGX Rubin NVL8 system. The two companies have previously partnered on products like the DGX B300 series.
DGX Rubin NVL8 is a liquid-cooled AI system equipped with eight NVIDIA Rubin GPUs and 6th-generation NVLink technology, designed to accelerate training, inference, and post-training for various AI workloads.
Intel stated that the Xeon 6 processor supports up to 8TB of system memory, is compatible with high-speed MRDIMM memory specifications, has ample PCIe Gen5 channels, reduces long-term total cost of ownership (TCO) across multiple workloads, and continuously optimizes support for the entire AI software stack.
