JetBrains' local AI coding tool Junie Local now supports NVIDIA RTX Spark

Local AI coding tools are becoming a new trend. JetBrains announced that its local AI coding tool Junie Local now supports NVIDIA's RTX Spark platform from day one, and Windows support has moved from testing to stable.

The tool can read code, edit files, and run tests. No sign-up or subscription is needed, there are no token fees or usage limits, and code never has to leave your device.

In early tests, Junie Local generated up to 55 tokens per second on the RTX Spark platform. It also runs on PCs with RTX cards of Ampere architecture or newer with at least 24GB of memory, such as the RTX 3090, 4090, and 5090.

The new installer checks your graphics card and driver, sets up the model, and adjusts memory based on what is available. Users can pick Qwen3.6-27B or a fusion model from JetBrains.
