Kai-Fu Lee: AI coding now beats humans, 90% of code is AI-written

At a press event on July 7, Kai-Fu Lee, founder of 01.AI, said AI coding has surpassed humans in the past two years, with over 90% of code at many companies now AI-written and only 10% human-made.

Lee stressed that AI coding breakthroughs make AI not just a Q&A tool but a system that can rewrite software, restructure processes, and create systems. He said programmers shouldn't worry too much, as AI can handle unlimited tasks and even participate in decision-making.
