Kimi launches its most powerful model K3 with 1M context window
Kimi's parent company Moonshot AI has released its most powerful model yet, the K3, which supports up to 1M tokens of context. It excels at coding, game/3D tasks, and knowledge-related work.
The K3 comes in two versions: Kimi K3 and K2.7 Code, with three model IDs available via the app or third-party tools. The Andante version doesn't support long context, while Moderato handles 256k tokens, and Allegretto and above go up to 1M tokens.
Building on the K2 series, the K3 uses the same MoE architecture with 1 trillion total parameters and 32 billion active parameters. The earlier K2.6 model, which improved coding and agent abilities, has already been open-sourced. Pricing and detailed specs for the K3 haven't been announced yet.
