Kingsoft Office launches two AI assistants, aiming to deliver real work results
At the '2026 AI Productivity Conference' in Shanghai, Kingsoft Office launched two AI office assistants: Lingxi Pro for individuals and WPS Comate for businesses. Lingxi Pro is a standalone app that can directly create editable PPTs, spreadsheets, and documents, not just static content. WPS Comate upgrades WPS 365 into an all-in-one AI office platform, introducing the 'Enterprise Brain' concept to help companies connect internal knowledge and move AI from answering questions to taking action.
CEO Zhang Qingyuan explained that Kingsoft chose not to build its own large language model, but instead acts as a 'model connector,' working with multiple Chinese AI model providers. He compared large models to engines, saying their real value comes from how software uses user data and business scenarios. For businesses, key concerns are security, trustworthiness, unlocking private knowledge, and improving team efficiency. Over 100 companies are already piloting the system.
Pricing will be flexible, combining subscriptions with pay-per-use options. Zhang believes this is a key moment for Chinese software to redefine industry rules and compete globally through innovation.
