Korea's FuriosaAI joins Swedish AI data center with 7,000 RNGD accelerators
Korea-based AI chip designer FuriosaAI announced a partnership with I/ONX HPC and Velox to build an AI data center in Stockholm, Sweden. The project, developed and managed by Velox, started construction recently with a total power capacity of 15MW, including 10MW of critical IT capacity. The first 2MW of computing power is expected to go live in early 2027, expanding to 10MW later that year. FuriosaAI will supply 7,000 RNGD accelerators for the project, which will form a heterogeneous computing infrastructure alongside an equal number of GPUs from NVIDIA and AMD, managed by I/ONX HPC's Symphony SixtyFour platform for workload matching and scheduling.
