KPMG's AI report caught with fake facts and wrong info
A report from KPMG about AI agents, released last October, was found to have many errors. An investigation by GPTZero, an AI detection tool, showed that only 5 out of 45 citations were correct. The rest were either rewritten, made up, or too vague to be checked.
The report gave wrong examples of AI use. It said Emirates had an AI chatbot called Sara, but Sara is just a regular assistant that can't change bookings. UBS said it didn't fully use AI agents like KPMG claimed. Swiss railway SBB also called the claims about its AI system inaccurate.
The CEO of GPTZero warned that such wrong reports could spread bad information. KPMG has taken down the report and started reviewing what happened.
