KTV uses AI videos to replace original MVs, lawyers say it's illegal

Recently, many customers in China complained that KTVs are replacing original music videos with AI-generated ones. For example, during a romantic song, a gorilla suddenly appears shooting a machine gun, ruining the mood. Staff say it's because the songs lack MV copyrights, so providers use AI videos instead.

A KTV boss explained that equipment makers swap MVs to avoid copyright fees or fix old footage, sometimes using AI. Lawyers say this doesn't save money and could break the law. Customers have the right to watch original MVs and should complain if they get weird AI versions.
